Shipping cost within the U.S. is only $10 per kit. $25 p/kit for international orders.

As soon as we have received your new patient paperwork (either on-line or through the postal service), your  medical consult will be scheduled. Our Nurse Practitioner will review your complete medical history, assess any health risks you may have, discuss your symptoms and concerns, answer all your questions regarding treatment options based on your current health status, and help you order the saliva/blood spot test kit that is best for you.

After your test kit has been purchased and sent in via UPS for analysis and we have received your lab results, we recommend a 2nd medical consult to initiate bio-identical hormone treatments. Kathryn will go over your test results with you, make recommendations for improving your health through various modalities, order customized BHRT hormone prescriptions for you through a compounding pharmacy, and answer any additional questions you may have regarding your planned course of treatment.

An important part of your treatment will be to complete follow up hormone testing after you have started your treatments, to make sure your hormones are correctly dosed. Kathryn will assist you through this process until you are hormonally balanced, and then we recommend every 6-12 month testing thereafter to ensure you are staying at optimal hormone levels, that your symptoms are controlled and you are feeling your best.

Follow-Up Testing (Monitoring): Many providers prescribe hormone treatments without doing any testing before or after treatments. First, it’s important to determine if a hormonal imbalance exists even before beginning any treatment. After treating, it’s essential to retest hormone levels to make sure the dosing is correct. Usually some adjustments in dosing need to be made along the way.

Choosing a Medical Provider: Be sure to choose a Medical Provider who understands the importance of follow-up testing, one who correctly interprets your lab results, and who understands how to dose hormones safely and effectively. (If a married woman is prescribed an estrogen cream, for example, her husband’s estrogen levels will rise simply from exposure to her through physical contact. Our Nurse Practitioner understands many complexities about the delivery of hormones that are not commonly known, even among so-called experts in the field.)

If you choose to order your own test kit and want to schedule your consultation after the lab results are available, Kathryn will still need to review your symptoms and medical history forms before prescribing BHRT for you.

[*Please be aware that in order to qualify for insurance reimbursement, your lab order for a test kit MUST include a medical provider as well as appropriate diagnostic (ICD-9) test codes. You must FIRST complete an evaluation with a Medical Provider to have ICD-9 diagnostic codes added to your lab order. Separate procedural codes (CPT codes) are included on our website.]
